| 16 Mar 2004 | Ashley | From an artist's point of view, I think the watercolor was done magnificently. I could never do watercolor. And Neptune is beautiful; however, the composition is a little off, and because of that the proportion is off. Uranus is so much smaller than Neptune, but she is in front of her??? Also, there is negative space under Uranus's head...is it unfinished? They're common mistakes, just take this as constructive criticism. Keep up the good work! P.S. Neptune is my favorite too! I hope you don't mind on this one but I couldn't help noticing that Uranus's head is a lot smaller then Neptunes and it doesn't look it is a perspective thing, because it seems like they are supposed to be in the same foreground because her hair is overlapping neptunes, making me think that if you were to try doing this pic over she would actually have a slightly bigger head then Neptune or the same size, depending on what your going for. Also the hair line on Neptune is a little to high for my taste. Other then that great drawing, and long live the Sailor Scouts! There's more, too. Not only is Sailor Moon based on the zodiac, but it's based on ancient Greek/Roman characters. ^_^ For instance, Serena (Usagi's) character is named after "Selene," the goddess of the moon. It's a very nice piece of work! ^_^ I myself am a huuuuuge fan of the Haruka/Michiru pairing, and Sailor Neptune is my favorite character! | |
