Here is my first attempt at 'Painting'... I used pastels as pigmnet, linseed oil, a big funky brush and Q-tips to create this 36 x 24 inch glimpse of Firey Fury. What do ya think? I'll upload a better pic when I can get one. Well, on Dec. 6th-7th I was forced to either move (to here) or remove this piece from my main gallery... thanx to a former mod'. It was my first and only Mod's choice on my main gallery page. ...and with all the political B.S. here on EW it might be my last. Appearently I rub the powers that be here in EW the wrong way. I wish these folks with minute and/or malformed genitals would go be food inspectors or something and take their anal personages elsewhere... I guess it is just like I always say 'People Suck'. ...don't they folks? Oh, and please by all means if this rant inspires you to let anyone know how you feel about such things... I wish you all power and success!
Yeah, This is a good pic and all, but it is blatantly fan art, which isn't allowed in Lothlorian, so I'd suggest taking it down and putting it in a fanq gallery. C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "Tolkien/LotR's art isn't normally put in the FQ. ...and this pic was passed by the mod's for Loth' and has been up here for about a year. So, I think I'll just leave it. Thanx."

*snort* This is even *way* better than the one in the movie... really, never have I seen anyone accomplish something like this with mere paint! Beautifully done, my friend, keep up *all* the brilliant work!
And you have my full support on that one: people do suck.(most of 'em anyway...)

I am in awe! This is absolutely great, and it looks exactly like the Balrog (I think that's it) from the LotR movie! Brilliant... C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "I am flattered... though it doesn't really look like that one as much a people seem to think it does. I guess I just have captured many of the qualities in my pic' that remind folks of the film version with it's fleeting glimpses of a demon lord of fire."

YOU SHALLNOT PASS!!! hiya! looks like he came from hell... you been there? its hot! C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "Well, in a manner of speaking yes, I have. At least I have been where hell is going to be all too soon."
oh wait this is a fanquarter gallery..O.O *feels slightly moron ish* C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "Hey, no moronishness around here... this did not used to be in my fan quarter gallery and should not be now. Some anal self righteous jerk former mod' got the powers that be here in EW on my butt and got it removed My only option was to move it here or remove it all together. I decide to move it rather than lose it. But it seems I somehow lost my mod's choice in the process ...how/why did that happen?! Anyhoo, best to y'!"
oo i didn't see this before. I really like this, and ignore the people saying it belongs in fanquarter because it's not the exact same on as in the movie. Q tips huh? thats pretty creative. I really like the flames they look fantastic. but it reminded me of something, have you ever seen osmosis jones? it kinda reminds me of the bad guy in that. Anyways great job! ^.^ C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "Thanx for all the comp's!! ...yes most people just suck. As for Osmosis Jones... No what is it? And about the Q-tips... I didn't have brushes so I just used what was at hand. Lots of good wishes headed your way, C"
First of all, no wonder you once got your mod's choice. This is a good painting, as far as I can tell, for the photo isn't that good.
Secondly, I fully agree with you frustration against the new EW rules and how they are used. Not so long ago, I had to remove _half_ of my main gallery content (a very old ones, too). The reason was, that they either didn't have enough fantasy elements in them or they should belong to the fan quarters area, witch was already full.
I did get mad and my theory was, that when you are good enough so that people can actually tell what you are trying to represent in your works, you are an easy target for these "interpretations" and "purifications". If you stick to those average manga sticky stick figures, nobody bothers...
I would have left this place with doors banging for several times, if there wasn't for this wonderful artists community. Let us be strong and creative, no matter what! C. 'razor sharp FAN blade' Clayton replies: "I think all the rules are silly and a bit on the "politically correct" side. which is always political and never correct. I think they should be more concerned with the way veiwers and users of the site treat the atrists and the ways which the members treat each other. We need fewer rules and more controls on site use by all. Rules never work. They are a vain attempt to change peoples behavior to fit the rule makers standards. Instead of a rule that says you may not do this or that you simply should not be able to do it on this site. That is how I feel anyway. Sorry for the rant reply. Thanx for the empathy/sympathy. Best to you, C "
