I am primarily a writer, first and foremost. I've only been drawing seriously for roughly two-three years now. I always believed I couldn't draw, so I always gave up my lousy attempts. An artist friend I respect pulled me aside one day and told me to keep drawing, to not give up: I had talent in there somewhere, I just needed practice. So practice I did. I posted one of my pre-effort attempts to my scraps folder in my deviantArt account (zannechaos.deviantart.com) to show someone the difference between then and now. I still consider myself a writer who draws on the side, but sometimes my art muse is louder since I've been letting it out of its cage more.

Most all of my fanart ideas come from gaming sessions. Only a few are fanfic-inspired. Since the FanQuarter's limited to 25 pieces, I'll only be uploading the ones I especially like. The rest can be found in my deviantArt gallery.

I mostly draw from The Slayers, although I do have a few pictures with characters from the Vision of Escaflowne series. My preferences run the lines of het and yuri (m/f and f/f). Yaoi's okay, but it's so overdone (and often badly done in fanworks) that it bores me and does absolutely nothing for me. I'm a Trad 'shipper, although my only real OTP is Lina/Gourry. My muse has more fun with characters if I don't OTP them. Why limit creativity? But that being said, the majority of the art here is very likely going to be Filia-centric and/or Filia/Xellos-focused. Flaming fanbrats throwing hissyfits will be ruthlessly and coldly mocked.

Now that i really look at tour art work i see some things most people cant do to their art. You have added emotion , and real life like character to your works. Your art work holds harmony, and in my opinion a perfect blend of colors that portray the emotion you where trying to achieve. I had misjudged your work earlier by being overly critical, for when i draw i have to draw constantly to keep my self in shape because art isn't exactly one of my fine points. For most people who work with art it is a talent that i wish i had there for I am jealous of all these fine works of art for the artist have true talent and potential. Your work could use some improvement, but what dose not need improvement in life. Again, if i haven't made my message clear, Spectacular Work!
