FanArt: I Won't Be DeniedFeb. 2004 Fifth in a set of six pictures I drew for a specific collage, Dominance and Submission (which I'll upload at a later time.) This set is all done drawing them in a realistic style. Of course, it's unbelievably difficult to draw Xellos in a realistic style and not have him come out looking like an utter dork with that hairdo of his. >_> I think I managed all right.
This is one of my two favorites in the series. The other favorite is Hushed, which is also up in the gallery.
From Xellos, sheer dominance and control. He wiped out an entire flight of Dragons with one blow, one lone Dragon would pose no challenge to him. Yet, they both know he's not going to harm her. The reality is there, the sense of danger, but it's a false danger, like the rush of adrenaline one gets on a roller coaster, a freefall where you know you'll land safely. His fist in her hair, pulling her head back, his hand at her throat, lightly tracing her pulse. It could easily be a threatening pose. Except for Filia. I'm giddy with glee that I got her expression the way I wanted it. A purely submissive sort of come-hither 'rowr!' look. I think most submissives are closet adrenaline junkies. I think this particular picture captures the feel and chemistry of D/s the best out of the six.
