Fantasy Art Tutorials in the FARP Section

About FARP - The Fantasy Art Resource Project at Elfwood

"The blind leading the blind", Pieter Bruegel (the elder), 1568.

In my expansion plans for Elfwood, I have had this idea in the back of my head for quite a while, namely a 'fantasy art resource guide'. This guide should be like an online book - with information that fantasy artists, writers and the general public might want to know more about. Topics could be everything from the history of fantasy art to art materials, techniques, photos references, and so on.

The blind leading the blind? Or, can amateurs teach amateurs? Well, why not? There are a lot of experienced people at Elfwood, and I'm sure you can learn a lot from their experiences. But keep in mind that we are indeed amateurs and laymen, and the information found here is to be used at your own risk.

Hi, Ray. A better place for this stuff is the FAQ or the Forums. Here’s the FAQ: http://www.elfwood.com/faq.html . I found it under the "about" tab at the top.

Hi, I am a newbie but looking forward to learning all about writing fantasy novels. I have been a huge fan of Tolkien an CS Lewis since I was a kid in the 70s and have already written about 150 pages of my own story. These tutorials will be priceless in asssisting me in ensuring it is a book worthy of sharing with the world...someday.
