Well, after a long time since I donīt put anything in this section, I will now talk about the Photoshop program and how to put color in your drawings in this particular option, after that, we also include some 3D effects to the pic, so letīs get started this time we will create a pic of an Archangel, the main program will be Photoshop, but we also use another programs like Bryce of After Effects, I expect many comments in this Farp, so please leave some comments!!!, the Final Pic of the Archangel will be in my gallery, oh, by the way, her name is: Kekeyi the Archangel of Lightning and Electricity...

PHOTOSHOP COLOR

Scan your drawing and open it inside photoshop, remember that the drawing must be clean of all sketch lines and pencil remains, for the outline of the drawing, I recommend a fine black pen or Micro pigment ink...

If you feel that there are many pencil remains in the drawing, you can use the Brightness/ Contrast option to clean the drawing, I use the +30/+45 settings, you can choose whatever you want for your drawings...

Now letīs start the work, first, create a layer for the skin color, use the option of "Darken" in the layer options, remember that photoshop have many layers options like this, each one give more effects or special enhancments to your pics, so experiment with them!

Change to background layer and select with the magic wand all the parts that will have the skin color in your drawing, you can select more with the shift button pressed, after that, switch again to skin layer and select paint bucket with 80% opacity option, and apply into the drawing, of course, you have selected before a skin color of your choice, remember that this will be our base color, so select one not too dark or too bright...

Now change into the brush tool and select this one, donīt select the airbrush options because the drawing will look too rare, use the opacity option in 24% and the flow in 14%, then change the skin color into another more dark.

Now start drawing the dark parts of the drawing, remember where are your lights and donīt put shades here and there.

Darken more the skin color and put more shades...

Ok, now switch into white color, and put the brightness color in the skin, donīt be afraid to the white, spray the color and let some places with full white background...

Change into yellow and diffuse all the white color with the skin color, and then darken again the skin color and put the more darken color of the skin, after this, we can do another part of the pic...

Setting the color layer to "darken" really worked on my current project. Usually I copy the picture and set the copy to "multiply," and then color a layer under the picture. Usually it works, but this sketch had too much detail and went nearly black, but your method is working perfectly. Thanks! =)

Someone said something about being able to afford programs like Photoshop. I just want to let you guys know that if you're in the US and you're currently a teacher or a student, you can get academic-priced software for a LOT less than what they sell in stores. Usually there are no differences in academic versions and commercial versions, except for some of the really high-end programs. I know that with programs like Photoshop and Painter, there are no differences at all. Google "academic software" and you'll find some online stores. =)
