#Lothlorien and #Wyverns_Library are IRC channels
on Esper.net and Shadowfire.org, respectively, open to all Elfwood
artists, writers and fans.
#Lothlorien was officially opened in
January 1998 on Starchat (we have moved twice since) and has been visited
by all nature of human beings ever since.
#Wyverns_Library, was
founded on RPGworlds in March 2001, and has since moved to the
Shadowfire.org network. It is an alternative channel for those
writers who seek a smaller, more quiet community to discuss their
work. Generally, both places are for the Elfwood community to hang
out in cyberspace.
People who live on opposing ends of the world get
to meet each other face to face (ok, pixel to pixel) and have fun.

#Lothlorien and #Wyverns_Library are intended to be fun and safe places to
chat for all members of Elfwood and the general community. This includes
people both young and old and as such, some language and behaviour is not
tolerated in the channel. You can find the rules of conduct and other
information about #lothlorien at http://www.darkwolf.ma.cx/lothlorien and
about #Wyverns_Library at http://www.xercix.com/wyverns/ . Please note
that these rules are not negotiable and -will- be enforced in both channels.

#Lothlorien is on esper.net. If you are already an IRC veteran, just use irc.esper.net to log on. Once you are connected to the server, type /join #lothlorien
To get to #wyverns_library, use irc.shadowfire.org to log on. Once connected to a server, type /join #wyverns_library
If you have zero knowledge on IRC, we have a java chat to #lothlorien. Please note that this java applet is often unreliable and we would suggest using a proper IRC client whenever possible. You will be able to find more help in using IRC when you join #lothlorien.
