this is cool, there's a certain level of abstraction within this painting, which works well. i think it has something to do with the quality of the brush strokes (very expressionistic... if that's a word), and also your interesting use of colours. i especially like the colours you've used on the face... they're like the natural colours, but made more prominent, to give the surreal edge. and kudos to you for being able to work with acrylics... i've never quite mastered them myself.

I like the emotion in the face. I agree the color adds to the mystery of why she looks so intense.
