SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Accepted

Here is a very special ceremony of the White Tower that marks the raising of a novice to an Accepted. It was one of my favorite scenes in the Wheel of Time series when Nynaeve was raised, so I thought I'd draw one similar to that. Here we see an Aes Sedai pouring the water over the head of a teary eyed novice being raised.

23 May 2001	L.S. Engler	Loading... Yeah, i'm typically not the one to critize anatomy, but her breasts are a little off. Not that they're too large or anything, but they're too, um, pert for their size....smirks a little Come and see the amazing, gravity defying breasts!! she shrugs a little Yeah, i know, kind of a crude way to put it, but its really the best way to. The detail on the Aes Sedia are nice, but there's something really disturbing about how she's just staring forward. makes the two figures in the pictures seem...well, they're not interacting. maybe if she was regarding the novice just a little, even just a tiny bit, then it would be a little better. And the emotion in the novice?? WONDERFUL! I can only imagine how much the ceremony can take out of a person....great picture, despite the few, probably silly flaws I mentioned.
