SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sunset

Sunset, changed against her will from human to vixen and later given a half-wyvern upgrade. Did this to cheer a friend with a new job that isn't all she could ask for. The pay and the conditions are lame at best... so, a picture of one of her newer characters to lift her spirits.

First attempt of water color pencils on very fine black sandpaper. Yup, sandpaper. It is a bit grainy, and the scan is not as good as the original. Not sure if I'll do another.... Maybe if she collects some good comments I'll try something bigger.

23 Feb 2004	Dark Tiger	Loading... SANDPAPER!?!?!? wow...so wonderful for the media! Cheryl L. Chastant replies: "(looking wry) It's... interesting to work with, at least. My mother-in-law used it with pastels once to do a "Lion and the Lambs" pic... fabulous work. (I'm not a fan of pastels; so very messy, and I rarely have a lot of room to work with.)"
