'They're faeries,' Chryn said quietly. 'Th-Thornwind faeries. Shattered light, they're Thornwinds!' Aspen squealed with delight and ran, jumping and spinning over the heath after the glowing balls of magic. 'Careful not to catch one, Aspen!' She called out, chasing after the child. 'They don't squish like skitterbugs!'
