SciFi and Fantasy Art: Eladeya (Before and After)

Well, this is my latest character in Armageddon MUD -- an adolescent elf girl named Eladeya (or Ellie, for short). Dark violet hair and crystal blue eyes -- I want to see it in color, some day. She's an orphan from the 'Rinth (short for the Labyrinth), which is the slums of Allanak, the city where she lives. That's why she's dressed in rags in the final picture. But since Jack made me scan it in before I had it finished, so he could see it, I figured I'd upload both -- before clothes and after clothes. I've never really been good at drawing clothes, so this was good practice for me in doing folds and laces. I'll probably play around with the final sketch when I get the urge to. I've been meaning to try out Adobe Illustrator -- I just got a copy and was told it was the best program for turning sketches into line art. If any Elfwood artists feel the urge to CGI it, I'd gladly volunteer my sketch to their talents. :)

Aww, she's a cutie! In fact, she reminds me of my own street rat charrie, Mad Jack. I adore patchwork ^_^. Her outfit's great, but you may want to work on hands in the future. Hers are a tad to small. Beautiful work though, I'd love to see it colored!

I always knew her head was big (it's an adolescent anime character thing, they get big heads, it's supposed to make the character seem younger -- I dunno, I guess it works, heehee). But yeah, her hands do look small compared to the rest of her body. I've always had trouble with those. (And feet, too, argh!) At least they look like hands, though, unlike some of my other attempts at said anatomy!"
