Hello and welcome to my art gallery at Lothlorien! My name is Amelia (but I tend to go by my nickname, Amy). I was born in 1979 (so, as of writing this, I am 22 years old) and am a single mother of a beautiful little girl named Bryanna. My sister, Angela, was extremely good at drawing and coloring her pictures and I idolized her for that. I still can't color worth beans, but over the past years I've been playing around with graphic artistry in different paint programs on my computer. That's how I end up coloring most of my sketches. I tend to be inspired by fantasy art (the pictures from my roleplaying books and anime, for the most part). I draw pictures of my characters in roleplaying games and doodle whatever comes to mind when I'm bored. When critiquing me, please keep in mind that the only art classes I've taken were in junior high and high school, so I don't expect anything I draw to come out looking professional. I only do this because I enjoy expressing myself. Any suggestions are welcome, as long as it is constructive criticism. Thanks and enjoy! :) Note: Due to some harrassment, which has been ongoing, I've closed my gallery to comments by anyone other than those who are registered with Elfwood. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I don't have the time to monitor this gallery 24-7.

Amy-chan! Suki desu yo! I love it, keep it up. PS, if my Elfwood link screws up, oops, been a long time and can't QUITE remember how to type it in right. Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Thanks, sweetie. Nah, you got your link right. Hope you're having fun in Japan! "
Ya know, out o all the pokemon, Mew is the coolest...good job! Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Thanks! *giggles* Too bad they took it down when the fan art gallery went up. I'll have to get me a gallery over there so I can put it back up. "
Cool work, luv ure thumbnail faery Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Thanks. Yeah, Starlight's a cutie. If only I could learn to draw halflings, I could actually -finish- that piece...."
Enjoy your day as featured artist - you have some adorable pieces here. I like Lil' Lovers the best. Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Thanks. Yeah, lots of people seem to like that one, even though I really messed up poor Tanin. LoL -- it's gotta be the sprite, cause she's the only redeeming piece of that picture, in my opinion. "
I love your drawings...What kind of utencils do you use to draw them? Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Whatever's at hand, really. Usually just regular grade printer paper and a mechanical or number 2 pencil. Sometimes I've even used graph paper or the college ruled paper (the type with the blue lines and the pink margin line). Whatever is at hand when inspiration strikes. LoL -- I don't have any fancy artists tools or anything."
Your artwork is pretty, but not as beautiful as your baby girl! Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Awww, well thank you. Though she isn't a baby anymore. Already in school. Sheesh, how time flies!"
I like your site. This is good work, the flowers close too the stone, at Shannyn picture are so alive ! Kveðja ! (hilsen) Guðmundur Amy A. Carlstrom replies: "Thanks! Though I can't take much credit for those flowers. LoL -- I think I mention it on the picture page, but they're just clip art. I just adjusted the gamma on them, and added their shadow to the rest of the picture, so that they looked like they were part of the greater whole. But I didn't draw them. Now the rock and the girl sitting on it, that I did. "
