Have you considered placing a shadow of the viewer falling on the sands, also? Maybe implying some out-of-ordinary viewer, a mage or something? Just a thought...I like it as is anyway!

I also really agree with the comment on your pyramid about those trees! You did a wonderful job! I don't even try to touch the computer stuff. Keep it up! I'd love to see more!

Yeah I love the CG stuff, I've still got a few animated films in mine all done in CG, but the amounts of props, and 3d characters and clothes needed for a project like this is way beyond just myself. If any other 3D CG artist are interested give me an email. I love to do colaborated projects.
