SciFi and Fantasy Art: Coppertone Dragon

This was the first time I had ever done anything like this before. I was handed a sheet of copper and told to make an artistic impression on it's surface. Using my fingers and wooden dowls, spoons, knives, and even a pen, I finally came up with this. Mind you it was done numerous years ago, but I would love to do a project like this once again.

Where did you find your copper/Ilive in Ks, cannot find anything here?

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "I actually had gotten mine supplied to me from my school, but usually if you look in hardware stores instead of strict art stores, you can find something feasible. Just explain to them what you want and what you need it for. They are usually more than happy to comply."

just get a sheet of copper, some embossing tools, cardboard, and you'll be good to go. i did some copper embossing in 3-D art last year.
