SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mardi-gras

Alright, so I have no clue what this was supposed to be or what not, but I just wanted something that wasat least a little decorative of sorts. She isn't finished in the least and the scan is horrible. I'll replace it when she's finished. Imagine dreaming of her some night. I was actually going to make her into a traveling bard of sorts. Who needs flashy clothes or a stage when you have four arms and hocks, right? Okay, well, either a bard or a goddess of...well, um.. mirth? I'm not sure yet. Well, here she is. Please, oh please, someone help me with a name, back ground, and tell me if she should have wings, a tail, or both. *cries*

Very creative drawing I really like it. I would leave it with no back ground I think it makes it look more archaic. How ever you should put a little bit of a ground under her so she isnt floating. Also I would mabey change the feet to somethin a little more intruigueing then three ball shaped toes. Aside from that excelent work. Its nice to see something creative that I have not already seen a million times.

Well somehow i found myself back in your gallery, i must have dropped a comment somewhere else since i recognise your work but i'm not entirely sure where... This looks like something taken out of a Shakespearian costume chest i really appreciate the detail and the work that went into it... Very creative 2

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Thank you. I really tried just in making it something different and creative. Aww, who am I kidding. Ever hear the quote that real art is just an improvement on a blank sheet? Well, I just started doodling and ended up with a full figured form that I truly enjoyed doing. It was something I hadn't done in such a long time."

I love this!!! Its so cool to look at.. =) And to your question.. I think it should have a tail.. im thinking something like a Lions tail would fit.. =) No wings though IMO..

Well. Just my two cents but I think that would make it look even better! =)

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Thanks. I hope to have a finished copy up of this soon. And, I took your advice. No wings, but yes on the tail. I was thinking two tails for a bit, but then, yeah, one tail would be best."
