SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sea Dragon

Yeah, this lives in the sea and eats fish... It has fins as a remnant from the days when it used to swim like the fishies, now it moves through the water like a sea snake. The thing on its neck are gills but I suspect if it had to rely on them it might choke to death... lol. Apologies for nondescript swirly background but I hate backgrounds and those scales had my hand so cramped up I could barely hold the graphics pen... and it looked funny with a white background. One day (if I ever outgrow my laziness - don't hold your breath) I might give it a home.

The spines on his neck are wonderful, and I love the thought put into vestigial fins! K Brown replies: "Thanks loads for the nice comment. I have issues with dragons, mine usually end up looking like retarded rhinocerus/giraffe/bird crosses. If you can picture that. And if it ever happened, I wouldn't be inviting you to watch!"
