SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gryphon and Warrior

Wandering through the swamps, the warrior has met a strange beast. The two approach cautiously, uncertain and wary of eachother... I did this with a mechanical pencil on a sheet of Xerox paper (they just happened to be at hand, no other reason).

28 Nov 2000	Lluhnij	Loading... I like this one too, but having seen also the other works, I think you should try to "move" the background with some elements: it's boring to make an all-grey background and it doesn't give much to those who look at the picture.

But about the Gryphon, I think you should move the eye a little lower and maybe open the baek just a little. It would bring more... -what's the word in english?- ... eh... ^-^' More expression to the face?
28 Nov 2006	SmoelfenFutte	Loading... The warrior is great, but the gryphon is (sorry fore saying it) a bit clumsy, the the way the hand is, all most makes it look feminine. All so i think it would be great to use some ink on the pencil drawing, i would either suggest clouds and no sun (if youre good at making clouds) ore a black bag ground maybe in ink BTW youre im envying you fore youre great, great GREAT skills, well we mortals just have to comment the others ;P
