SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lakeside Meeting

A picture that is a combined birthday gift for my mother and father in-law! (Their b/d is only a month diff, so close enough! ^_^) Anyway my father-inlaw was born in year of horse and is a scorpio..so that's with the horse creature with a scorp tail, plus metal element(cute little gold scorp on horse rump). Mother in-law was born in year of goat(not sure how she'll take that o_0), but also a sagittarius, so I made a black goat-white goat centaur(instead of the usual person-goat/horse/whatever type mix). Yes I know, weird! :) The background is much like the land areas where my inlaws live(central Otago, NZ), lots of pretty lakes and mountains and grassy areas! Well anyway this one took me longer to paint than most of the work I do.. all those details... gah ..which are now squished into the size limit... original much, much bigger in size! Photoshop and Wacom graphire tablet! (: Happy Birthday Mum and Dad inlaw! :)

Very good. Nice technique on the horse. It actually looks like the scorpian tail belongs on the horse, mainly because of the skillfully placed fur around the tail. Nicely done.

Wonderful idea. I am a rooster/fish, my father is a
tiger/aries(what's the English for that?), my mother and
my grandmother are tigers/libras(same story) and my
brother is a tiger/lion. A scaled rooster, a wooly tiger, two round and metal tigers and a tiger with a mane?
Woooowwwwwwww, take it easy girl!

I love it!! I like the way u made them look masculine and feminine, respectively (e.g. the goat looks like a female, while the horse/scorpion thing looks male). Keep up the good work!!!1
