| 5 Jul 2003 | Iggi | I really love the dress lines and shading - very impressive for a first on the pcThanks, I really did try....I seem to work better when I have a time limit... | |
| 25 Jul 2003 | Keri Ann: Keritsubo | I like the fluid quality of the colors and shading. Its nicely done. Her clothes seem to almost ripple rather than fold. Tara 'Raven' Monday replies: "^_^ Thank you a lot, I was trying for a windy look...I think I pulled it off. And I never have seen clothes fold when in the wind, so....^_^ Thanks again." | |
| 27 Aug 2003 | Freya R. Massey | wow. This is really good for straight computer work. i lie the general blurriness and the texture on her cloths is really nice! Thanks a lot, I tried. Besides her skin, clothing will always be the hardest part of anything for me to shade right...so that means a lot, thanks. | |
| 17 Nov 2003 | Vilhelmina 'Mina' Benedikt | You used Corel? I do too. =) This is really cool. The tiger is awesome. and I like the little butterflies all over the picture too, as well as her dress. kudos to you. Thanks, I don't have corel on my home computer, this was done in school last school year. Thanks again. | |
| 18 May 2004 | Flutist | Flutes rule!! *played flute for 7 years* I'm surprised you got the position right (just because not many people do). They like to stick the flute on the left side of the body... I'm sure in some odd corner of the world people do make flutes like that, but it's rare and generally regarded as a mistake in art. Nice job. ^_^ Tara 'Raven' Monday replies: "Thank you. ^^ My ex played the flute, I am a clarinet person....but flute just works better for this picture" | |
| 18 Nov 2004 | James | I like the tiger an i think other people like the tiger because though not perfect it seems to have an intelligence to it and a kind of peace. Not a ferocious single minded guard it seems to listen to the music.I don't think I could hav been more poetic about it. Thank you. | |
| 19 Nov 2004 | Shirley Ghozalli | This is a beautiful painting though you only use limited tools but you've surpassed expectation. I specially like her cloth, the color and the folds, though still a bit rough, are wonderful. Keep on going girl \(^0^ )/I didn't know anyone was expecting anything from me! -scared face.- But thanks all the same. ^^ I love comments like this. | |
| 2 Feb 2006 | Anonymous | This piece looks a lot like a Caroline Young artwork, under her Chinese Zodiac series ... there's a girl playing a flute and a tiger next to her in pretty much identical positions. Caroline Young is a famous contemporary artist, and the piece can be found at her website. You can google it to see how amazingly similar it is! Tara 'Raven' Monday replies: "Honestly, I got the idea off of one of my aunt's old China dishes...then I read some myths and I loved the flowing dresses the goddesses wore...as for the tiger...at the time I really liked tigers? I'll have to look this person up, and thanks for saying it's similar? I've never had my art put up against someone else's before, if I'm taking it the way you meant this comment anyway." | |
| 28 May 2006 | Champi D. Duncan | actually its under her immortal suite Chinese zodiac... its called immortal melody, it really does look like urs! wow... u did a great job the clothes are amassing i couldnt hope to do something like that!! i love the lill butterflys and the tiger is stunning. *is in awe* Tara 'Raven' Monday replies: "Thanks for the name, I don't have to do too much searching for it now lol. Thanks for the comment too!" | |
| 28 Nov 2006 | Anu | Its amazin, goddy, very respected job done... Appreciated alot Tara 'Raven' Monday replies: "I don't like it anymore...I don't know why I put butterflies there...anyway thank you." | |
