SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dragons: A More Traditional Dragon

Here is a more traditional dragon than most of my others. Done in Prismacolor colored pencil on white paper (instead of black, are you shocked?). I hope you like him. I do. I worked hard on his head.

Awesome! I love the bright greens pretty. The wings are great too!

Awesome head & choice of colour! What is the orb in his hand? He's not bowling.....& I doubt he's playing rugby.

:-) Monica A. Caples replies: "Alright, alright, I lied! It's obviously a magical orb... that holds... secret draconic powers! Mmmhmm. That's exactly what it is."

Nice shading on him. Especially the body- very good and it looks like the lightsource is constant. I see you didnt do a lot to the wings, but I think it works. I find the same problem- how does one shade a wing? LOL good job 2

Great dragon, the only thing id say is to work on the proportions in the arms, on the other hand the size difference in the legs which was obviously to show depth works very well

I like this dragon overall, quite good really. I really like that orb in his hand, very creative! A suggestion though: For the wings (shading/colouring wise) you might want to add creases and folds, as well as darken the areas closest to the "fingers" and get lighter the farther out you get. Adds a lovely shadow effect. Overall, I like this piece, very well done!!
