Natalia Nikitin replies: "I do no know who you are, but I am really quite astonished that you trudged all the way to my gallery (which hardly ever gets comments now) and actually put in the effort to type in a comment that borders on being silly/weird to tell me that you actually hate the pic. I might muse on whether there was anything in particular prompted such a display of attention to my little picture, I'm almost flattered in fact, but you could just as easily be a prankster that goes around randomly doing things like this out of sheer boredom. I'll treat it as the latter and will delete your comment in the near future. If you will care enough to bother insulting me again, please try to do that in style. =P"

This is truly a beautiful pic. I love the soft and yet mysterious feel to it it is truly wonderful.

I've always been fascinated by the idea of Cuivienen, and what it might have looked like. One of Tolkien's simpler, but quite brilliant, ideas.

I like the moonlight in this picture most. The elf looks slightly awkward somehow - I think his hand is too big. But the moonlight casts everything in a gentle glow, and I can almost here some lonely pan flute or drum and lute playing just over the hills, and some traditional elven folk song being sung to a dance while this fellow gazes into the ancient waters. Or perhaps the music is all in his head, from memories past...

In short, this picture looks very simple at first glance, but after a closer look works a deeper magic.

I like the dome look to the sky , the way its framed in a ring of clouds
the pilgrim is so nice and restful
i remember such peaceful moments of amazing solitude by a lake , with all those starry friends gleaming through the frosty haze and moonlight shimmering gently on the water
this is a beautiful painting
is it available for a print maybe ?

The sky in this is simply stunning--reminds me that all they had was starlight to see by.
