SciFi and Fantasy Art: Photini

I am rather pleased with this one. Something that doesn't happen often. :) I remember doing the tiny sketch for it in my notebook while I was sitting in my university library (a tall building with huge glass windows and amazing views of the surrounding park). There is something musical about every vision of beauty. Perhaps there is a world where music can be seen as ripples of light as well as sound, or perhaps I was just trying to depict a feeling ... Watercolour.

17 May 2004	Drowned Ammet	Loading... WOW! Do you play an instrument? 'Cause that describes how it feels sometimes when you have a really fantastic piece, and you get in touch with your muse. (not something that happens often to this humble flute player ) It's beautiful! (sory it's a bit cliche, but I've lost most of my vocab for the moment) Unfortunately I don't play an instrument and consider myself musically inept... but - it doesn't mean I can't appreciate music or feel it somehow in things that I find inspiring.

Natalia Nikitin replies: "Heh, I have a passing familiarity with Greek for certain reasons, though I cannot speak it. I know that the name means 'Light' and it seemed an appropriate title for the picture. "
