SciFi and Fantasy Art: Soulshine

Some time around the middle of last year, I drew what may be the only piece of Phantom of the Opera fan art that I will ever finish. I had quite a lot of people tell me that the liked my completely original little "decorative motif" that framed the Phantom even better than the Phantom himself, so I decided to separate the two digitally.

What remains is the "decorative motif" by itself, so that it becomes this fantastical, phantasmagorical dream-structure - a sconce, an alter, a chandalier of doom, constructed of tens of thousands of glass beads and forty-two happy little skulls.

Er, well, technically it's constructed of watercolor, ink and colored pencil - I'm not *quite* crazy enough to try to sculpt this thing. Yet. ^_~

I really like this one. And the skulls are really well done. But mostly I like the symmetric shape, it gives a cool tone to the pic. Then it reminds me of an organ witch plays with my fantasy (who is the organ made for? How would is sound?) and it somehow make it suit with the phantom of the opera theme. GW and let them keep coming.

That would make for an extremely interesting tatoo... Great job! It looks awesome!

This is just so... wow! I don't even know what to say... it feels holy! Or... er... unholy maybe considering the skulls! 14 I love the colours and the symbolic feeling and well, everything! It's really great! Wonderful details also! Great!

this is the most well painted, but truly strange and bizzare thing I've ever seen. The wings parts at the top are just great. I don't know how you did this with coloured pencils and watercolour!
