SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mythomorphosis

This is my 2004 Christmas Commission for the daughter of a nice lady with whom I used to work. I've put between 40 and 50 hours into it, and I must say that it's one of my favorite big projects to date.

The original is 15x20 inches in size. I created it by first doing a watercolor underpainting in blues and greens, then by doing all the eensy details in colored pencil.

I think this is my favorite so far, it has both unicorn and dragons, a griffin, and a sorceress-like lady. Wow, the colors, th detail, which I could do art like that!

27 Aug 2005	Guan-antou'di	Loading... woah, this is preob mt fave of all your pics in this gallery....but i havesnt seen tem all yet, but i know this and the predators are my fave...i like the dragons(and part of the eagle) are streaming out of the magic of the unicorns horn! i also loooooooe that trigephyn(tiger+gryphon) i just made up that word while typing !

Whoa... stares at picture for 15 minutes trying her damnedest to think of something to say ....Were you on acid or something when you made this kick-[mule] picture?evil snicker I don't do drugs; I don't NEED to do drugs. My brain really does work out patterns and color schemes this way. ^_~
