The psychopomp is a spiritual entity that can take on many different forms - often an animal form such as a crow, but also this general "angel of death" form that you see here. The psychopomp cuts the connection between the soul and its mortal housing, then it takes the soul on to whatever awaits it in the afterlife.</div>
