| 10 Jan 2008 | Miriam Tschanen | You're so immensely talented. Seems hardly fair to me. *sniff*
No, seriously, this is so beautiful.
| 27 Jan 2008 | Selena Fae Xu | wow, i’m just absolutely speechless! The colors you chose are amazing and gives it a very royal kind of look. Your ability with color pencils are amazing! Rachael Mayo replies: "Thanks very much!
The color scheme is one of my favorites - blues and violet and a hint of green - it’s always a fun one to work with. It’s a *comfortable* set of colors, too. I was just breaking into this new set of colored pencils at the time and in order to get used to the new medium (much harder lead than I had used before), I ran my coloring experiment with a scheme I knew I could control fairly well."
| 12 Apr 2008 | Sindri | the title reminds me of something Mad’Eye (HP) used to say:
"CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!"
nice pic, too! Rachael Mayo replies: "LOL - I started working on the Vigilant series long before Harry Potter came along. It’s been ages since I played with the Qetzlcoatl-type dragons, though, and the original theme kind of got swept by the wayside in favor of just playing around with feather designs. ^_~"
| 17 Apr 2008 | Loves for inuyasha | how do you draw these there so beautiful but it always looks like a dragon jumble
how do you draw it without getting mixed up Rachael Mayo replies: "I keep track of the various body parts initially by putting in little arrows to show what direction the loops are going... *snicker* I erase these as I go, and once I have the individual scales in place, I use those scales to keep the shape of the body and the direction of movement consistent."
