SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fallen Brother'

I was ina religious/dramatic sort of mood and, after listening to my friend argue about who the archangels are, I got to thinking about how sad Micheal must have been to loose Lucifer to the... erm, dark side. I picture them as having been friends, brothers even, and now that they're enemies, it must rip him up. To be guarding Heaven against a former friend. Evil lucifer doesn't seem to be as bothered, though, just nasty. You know, it didn't even occur to me until halfway through that Lucifer is the devil, typically characterized by reds and flames, and that my little gray/blue/death motif is slightly atypical. And please, nobody say that he's hot, okay? I drew him as the filthy, seductive thing he is, I mean if you were an evil superhuman ...thing... wouldn't you try to look good? But it's all an illusion, note the wngs he's got, and the remnants of his devoted lying all about...

2 Oct 2006	Giselle	Loading... This is a great picture! I love it. But, I have something I want to point out. >.> Lucifer's leg looks a little funny. Like his thigh bone is curved. Besides that, their expressions are great, and I love Lucifer's wings!

24 Aug 2007	Lottie jones	Loading... They both look so young...as if the ages of the world were yet to pass. Perhaps in rashness did Lucifer lead his army against his brothers? A fit of boyish anger or jealously? Your work is beautiful and very well done.

13 Feb 2008	A malachite maiden	Loading... The hips are kinda narrow, but I guess angels can be drop dead sexy bishies too. And Lucy [ahahaha! oh gawd, i’ll never be able to read the bible again] has kinda strange thighs. But, I’m used to the muscular ohemgee jock legs, so I suppose his legs are normal for a... evil feminine guy. But the skulls are a really nice touch. And the snaketentacle things too. Michael’s wings look a little strange also. I imagine them a little more feathery, and his look kind of plastic to me. I always imagined Hell as arid instead of fiery anyway.
