SciFi and Fantasy Art: A... erm, thingaw, isn't she cute? she wanders around her tropical forest home, putting pretty things in her hair and admiring her reflection in the water. What is she? I don't think even she knows, but if you asked her, she would answer, 'beautiful!' I was trying to just draw a weird looking creature, some really bizzare and exotic, and it didn't go too badly. Those ferns were horrible to draw, though. This is my last of my temporary obession with big, detailed, full background picks. They look nice, but take five or six days to finish, waaaaay too much work. she needs a name now, any suggestions? | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 13 Sep 2005 | Michael S. Pomeroy | WOW! this is awesome. The pose, the anatomy, the depth of the color, the detail through-out - it is all just fantastic. Those fern leaves may have been a pain to draw, but they were worth every second that it took you - it truly makes the picture - I feel like I've just stumbled out of the wood into a world of mystery and beauty! Keep up the imaginative and intoxicating artwork! | |
| 28 Oct 2005 | Frances | Narcissa lol ...hmm I thin Azalea is nice name. Beautiful art btw. | |
| 9 Dec 2005 | K. Ficarra | very nice. as for a name...Isima (ee-see-mah). something pretty with lots of vowels. i think it would suit her obession with beauty. | |
| 7 Jan 2006 | Amazed Artist | Hmm. She looks like a centaur, but not because she is not part horse, but part tiger with hooves, or part zebra. Vain little thing, isn't she! Perhaps her name is Talia (morning dew) or Cashlin (vain) or Keisha (favorite). They are all exotic and might fit her personality. | |
| 28 Feb 2006 | Emily | I've seen this pic before, except the girl is a white tiger. Unless you did the original, I'd say you copied that.Well, that's a harsh assumption to jump to. I don't remember ever seeing a picture like this, but I did did it four years ago so I won't pretend to remember what inspired it anymore. Do you have a link to the picture it reminds you of? | |
| 22 Apr 2006 | $ilver | her coloring kinda reminds me of an Okapi... then again she also reminds me of a friend from school.*looks up Okapi*Hey, it kind of does look like one. A little anyway. | |
| 28 Sep 2006 | Lorelei | my favorite so far. georgeous. keep it up. maybe i'll get int oElfwood sometime so you can see my art! | |
| 20 Oct 2006 | I_luvs_kakashi_so_much | yes this work is so pretty, oh so pretty! so pretty and witty and, um..... NOT gay! this is really good. i agree with $ilver; she looks like a okapi from the waist down. i also think that mr. anonymous up there has a good idea for a name, except that it should be Tajamera instead of Tamajera.... OMG! i just thought of a great idea i can draw with that name! but you can still use that name. | |
| 10 Aug 2007 | Rachel ´Raychle´ Ahlers | Ha, narcissa, i get it! (took me a sec) frances, you're a genius! Oh yes, and the pic is beautiful. Excellent work! | |
| 29 Mar 2008 | Kate *Rhynn* Smith | It might be a weregazelle... judging from the pretty stripes on her back and her hooves. So why not give her a swift-sounding name, maybe something like Whonwere? No, that’s not pretty enough... /sigh | |
