Hide yourself...

I added two new features to Elfwood. It is now possible to remain hidden in the online status views, as well as to not appear in the top commenter lists. To change your settings for this, there are two new on/off-options under the "personal" tab for your User Profile.

Guestbooks, now in color...

I've added a way to add color and simple style (bold,italic,underline) to the guestbook messages. This can be done using the simple buttons now available where you write a guestbook entry, or by using the custom 'tags' such as [B] for bold, [I] for italic, etc - similar to the formatting options used by our Forum. I spent a lot of time trying to get back the colors and formatting of old (2007 and back) guestbook messages, but I have to give up. It will take too much time and is too much of a risk - so sorry guys, old guestbook entries will stay in black-and-white :)

Twilight Taverns counts visitor number 1000

We got reports from the old troll who is the doorman at the Twilight Tavern, that he has counted over one thousand visitors passing him since the start. However, there's still plenty of Ale, rooms to hire and gossip to be spread. Come on over, you too, and visit us at http://forum.elfwood.com/

World Maps etc

Today, I did some cleaning up of the Extranet menues and functions; hopefully to the better. The goal is to make it easier to understand and to encourage more people to upload their material to Elfwood. The world map function was also fixed, now every member of Elfwood can put their position on the world map - not only the publishing ones.

Incoming Messages Overview

The 'Inbox' page at your user profile now displays a conventient grid of all guestbooks you're having at Elfwood, including your Profile Page, your FARP articles - and all the guestbooks for your Art or Written Material! Clicking an item in the grid will display a filtered list of the Guestbook entries only for that item.

It is now possible to comment on and discuss new news items at Elfwood!
