A Fairy Tale of New York - Part 4

Sean Daily

My first story from my new roleplaying system! I call it Witchgun, and it's set in New York City in 1936, in an alternate timeline where vampire bats (called chiroptim) and humans have evolved side by side. It's partly a reaction to modern depictions of vampires, which are ultra-hip, ultra-stylish, ultra-powerful and ultra-amoral. Characters like that just stick in my craw. I wanted vampires that had real problems - family, jobs, paying the bills, raising the kids, enduring prejudice - and who weren't immortal and who weren't all powerful. This is the fight in the Benthic Hall. Ack! I can't stand the suspense!

2147: New World Order

Andrew Watson

An alternate history of a fictional future in which, after a nuclear holocaust, society becomes dominated by a corrupt parody of the Catholic Church.

In Between

Holly Johnson

The frustration of being stuck on a world with no magic and reading about worlds with it.

Roll Call: Chapter One

Roehl Sybing

The first, real, full-blown story of Infinite Earths, the story universe I have been trying for so long to get started on. The story exists out of the same concept of parallel worlds as 'Sliders' but draws from many other disciplines, such as politics, current events and other fun stuff that gives a story realism.

The Tears that Redeem: Prologue

Jamie Brewer

Ok...this is a later revision of the prologue, closer to the final result than the previous one. Lost count of how many times I've gone back to this...I think it's the 6th or 7th draft *sweatdrop*. But it does keep getting better. The whole work is still in progress...

The Dreamer (chapter 1 and 2)

Rebecca Munford

Seth is just a normal boy with an overactive imagination, or so everybody keeps telling him. But his dreams are becoming to vivid, to real, real enough to kill him. Get ready to join Seth as he plunges into alternate realities during his sleep, not realising he holds the key to the survival of the omniverse.

Creator & Creations, Part 1

Jake Beasley

I meet my characters. Every single one of them, ranging from a two-headed serpent to the well-known Phoenix and Aura. But they need my help. After all, I am their Creator.

Miriam's Journey pt. 1

Erin Ramos

Miriam is transported to a different world because of her brother's obsession with magic and power. Thanks to Alice 'Muffin Girl' Smith, and Bliss for their wonderful editing.:)

The title, of course, is from the Pogues song of the same name, which is of course from the J.P. Donleavy novel of the same name. This song was a favorite of one of my friends, and you'll see how appropriate it is as you read.

Mirrors - Prologue

Josephine Rosén

The first part(the prologue if you haven't already guessed) of a very long story(it was supposed to be a book, we'll just have to see). The police Lindsay Simmons gets dragged in through a mystic mirror under an ordinary day at work. On the other side she meets the strange Zack and the first thing he does is to save her from being captured by the Falks. She have no idea who she can trust or where she is...

Dryad, Part 3

Sarah Wood

Here the story stops meandering at last and begins to earnestly stroll. Also, we meet two new characters, and the title of the story finally begins to make sense! Huzzah! The illustration at the bottom is my own work.

Dryad, Part 2

Sarah Wood

Well, I thought about wrapping it up with Beth's mysterious death at the end of the first section, but realized that wouldn't be a story. So! The adventure continues. Bethany and Jericho argue, as siblings do, and there is travelling to be done.

Introduction

Roehl Sybing

The opening page of my newest science-fiction site, this short is merely titled 'Introduction' to introduce those who are unfamiliar with the concept of parallel dimensions. It is also for introducing my newest serial in production, 'Roll Call.'

An Introduction to the Otherworlds

Ash van S

I promise this isn't going to be as sci-fi as it sounds. I just read too much Ursula K. LeGuin and Terry Pratchett while trying to avoid calculus and decided that I hadn't written anything coherent myself for a long, long time. Idk if this counts as coherent, but here goes!Hopefully, this will be a longer project, and I'll post some more chapters soon.
