Ok, this is a prologue to a much longer story I'm writing, and it's based on a dream I had. I like it alot.
For the older folks in the 'Woods, maybe you can relate to my memories of a beloved pet! Topsy wasn't your everyday cat or dog.... She was MUCH bigger! Since Jim Bowers and I went to high school together, I wrote this for a Writer's Group meeting I attended while visiting him several months ago. Just a touch of humor...

Having some trouble with title... If you have any suggestions please put them in comments. Thanks. This is the first thing I have written that I hope to one day be puclished as a novel. i got the idea for it (cliche but true) in a dream, and it instantly appealed to me. A small story inspired by Emily De Burca's story, Moving On.
I wrote this back when nuclear holocaust seemed inevitable. Even though today it seems less likely, never underestimate humanity's potential to act inhumanely.

Two explorers venture in the heart of wooded valley to discover something, well, *cute*.
Chapter One of Etain. Etain is a world completely without humans, technology, and civilization. It is pure wilderness, where nature is magical, tragic, and beautiful. Meet Chagrin and Arron, a pair of wolves mated for life unless seperated by Natural Law. Something...is not right in the northern forest of Etain.
