Feathers in the Twilight: Prelude

Keith Clancy

It seemed that people weren't entirely satisfied with the original beginning, so I decided to create this!

01 - The Beginning

David Beaumont

This is my first story and the first part of a larger story.

Prologue (Version 2.0)

Joseph Gnemmi

This a redo of my other prologue.

Raven Rose : Origins ch. 5-7

Michelle Lackey

A tale of werewolves, vampires, and something the world has never seen before... The continuing adventures of Devon and Red's endless sarcasm. I really like using sound and thoughts in this story. Could it possibly serve a unique literary purpose? Probably not. Oh yes, most blood and gore happens behind closed doors or off page, but that doesn't mean you don't see it. You have been WARNED!!! Enjoy.

In the Beginning

Joe Arenal

This is the opening story to a fantasy saga I am writing. It describe the beginning of existence.

Painted Roses

Brenda Dale

This little poem is an interesting thing that I wrote a while back. It is essentially about the embrace of the vampires. The main character laments her lost life, and entrance into unlife as she stares at the painting that she did while living.

Keeper of Souls--Prologue

Bryanna Parker

Well here we begin. There really isn't much to say about this short little bit, it is the prologue of Keeper of Souls, which I am still writing. The characters who you are introduced to here (though not by name) are nymphs of the water.

Chosen 6b

Andrew Casey

Second half of chapter 6

We Are Two

Amanda Hopkins

This is a little piece of poetry based off two characters my friend made up. The characters are Lady Fire-Eyes and Emerald Healer. She hasn't told me the rest of the story, so I don't know how it's going to end. Anyway, don't forget to make comments. :)

Creation Myth

Ashley Brodie

Just a random thing that came to me whilst I was writing my Celtic myth, despite that the only way they connect is that they're myths!

Time

Andrea Judy

um.... this isa rant from one of my characters, Kerry, yes...she is quite insane... ^^()

The Chronicles of Ultima: The End

Kaitlin Hatman

This is based on a dream I had awhile ago. In a series of Chronicles it would actually be the last book, but I liked how the prologue turned out so I thought I'd put it up here. Critique is always welcome! C:

The End of the Beginning

Andrew McLeish

Paladins fascinate me, they always have. I have a couple of stories (not uploaded, and one about the start of this paladin's career) about them but this is a brand new one. I'm not too happy with it as it stands, and it seems to be wanting to become a much longer story than it is.

'RUNE CHILDREN' in the beginning...

Marianne Valentin

this is the pre-prologue to RUNE CHILDREN, i wrote this for a competition so it may not be as good as i would have liked (WORDLIMIT GODDAMMIT) it reads a bit funny. btw: if there are two capital letters then only pronounce the second one (e.g:HRatharos=RAH-THAH-ROS)

Shattered Destiny Prologue (the beginning)

william albrecht

This is the prologue to a story I intend on finishing someday. Please tell me what you think!

12 Swords Prologue

Aubrey Walters

This is, oviously, the prolougue of a much longer story. It just really opens up the story, in which much more interesting things, like dragons, gaint spiders, vampires, and other awsome creatures make an appearance. But somethings would not make sense without this little intro making a show. Also my secound favorite character who rarley shows in the first book, is in it!

Notes of Creation

Julie Brunette

Here's a short creation myth that I wrote some time ago for one culture in world that I had created and had been using in a lot of my short stories and poems that I was writing during that period.  I don't write this world very much anymore, but one of my friends wanted to see this myth up on Elfwood, so here it is.  I'm not too fond of it myself, and my style has changed a bit since, but enjoy? xD

The Bird of Autumn

Micheal Yang

The fiery glow of the fallen leaves; A bird that watches from the trees . . .

A story of Stops

Kim Schoonover

'Tis a story with no 'e's. I blame Megan Proverbs and my keyboard. Megan because she suggested I write a story with no 'e's and my keyboard because the 'e' key quit working and because of that, events led to Megan's suggestion. Understand, here, that I couldn't use the word 'the', past tense, and a great deal of the English language besides. So, sorry if it makes no sense. >. O_O?! Its August 19, and this got a mod's choice. Wow. this is awesome, but also slightly creepy. *is not going to explain*
