This is the third chapter of my story in the world of kelora. As with all previous chapters this is only the first draft.
This is a very short story, written when I was feeling a tad depressed, I think. oh well. It's still worth reading. This was when I was still on the whole: 'for it to be a good story someone must die' phase. Sometimes I still think this is the case.
This is my first real attempt at anything approaching a horror story. Fishermen pull a body from the water and bring her to their island. She is buried and for a while everything seems fine, but then people start to die
I'm not particularly fond of this chapter, you'll find out why when you read it. There's another scene that I know I have to add for this chapter to fully make sense. Trust me: it is on its way.
Marooned alone Chloe continues to adjust and adapt to life on the island. But is she beginning to adapt a little too well....??
Rangi and Rewi are tawaki - a species of penguin, living peacefully in their village on the shores of a fiord. However, they are about to face tragedy - at the hands of malicious mammalian invaders. A sort of anthropomorphised look at the impact of introduced species on an established ecosystem. Written initially for a magazine, and thus one of my few genuinely short stories.
Our group has split up to find the seals to reset the enchantment binding Kagero. The dwarf, Dungar Ironsmith, and Garette Savar, Cleric of Tenaria, seek the water seal, but will Dungar's greatest fear mean failure and death.
Where you first realze how sweet and charming Sil is.... And the possiblities of Magick. (I love spelling it like that)
A sailor finds a mermaid and tells her of the world beyond the ocean.
The long-awaited start of my *THE* story... Troll&Mermaid&Centaur. Yeah, yeah, the name needs work. But here is the beginning and it's not quite as good as I hoped! ^^ I'm confident something can be don about it, though, so no worries. (mate)
Note; Jal Pari means 'Sea Fairy' and the proverb in the last verse is chinese for 'take another mans place'
Ah, a rousing good sea-story! One of my works that I am very proud of, this story began as a fan-fic for the comic book Tellos, but I fixed a few things so that I could present it to everyone here. This is a classic swashbuckling tale of a young child, Seen, and his exploits onboard the fastest ship in Aristea, the Mercury, with a pleasent surprise ending.
The oldest story that I wrote - it's about six years old. I don't know whether the historical references are accurate - I couldn't be bothered to check.
In this chapter our lovely Laura suddenly becomes very brave and mischievous, and well... I'll let you guess what happens, sorry about the ending, the next chapter is a flashback so... enjoy! Note to the mods, I put this under modern fantasy because I was unsure of its category.
At last just as Chloe`s fears for her humanity peak, the opportunity to make it back to her loved ones arises. But she is a much changed person now. As she struggles to hide her secret she realises that time is no longer on her side....
Very short chapter. Sets up for the start of Book III. Quite a cliffhanger, don't you think?
