Just a somewhat surreal little thing describing the sea... Related to a character in a fantasy story I'm writing... I gave this to a friend once as a gift, I believe...but that doesn't mean I can't put it in Elfwood... Kind of a Celtic/Maritime air about it...and with good reason... The story I mentioned has to do much with Faeries, which as you hopefully know, were (and are) a large part of Celtic mythology...
What can I say? If you've read the past eleven chapters you probably know pretty much what's going on, and if not, this probably isn't the best point to jump in. But suit yourself!
My own take on 'Sleeping Beauty.' Sick of waiting for your prince to come? Might be time to take matters into your own hands.
Ok... I wrote this... guess where? In the fog, alone. The fog was so peaceful, and it seemed so magical, I had to write something about it. So... I did! :)
This is a story about a night race. These demons are chasing this girl and she is finding herself losing hope in life.
Leila finds her relationship with Shasti has changed also her dreams start getting very strange and she gets a message that seems to turn her life upside down.
You ever wonder how you get your dreams? wonder who is in controll of them when you are not?
Thoughts are to be kept to oneself. Leila as well as Illya have to learn that and more; though they both had expected teachings in sorcery would be different somehow... Rancha and Leila's relationship seems to become more awkward that ni already was and Shasti has made a serious decision.
'Why do I stay awake to talk to you?' This is a real question I asked someone once at 3 a.m. after an amusing, nocturnal phone conversation.
Written in conjunction with Martin Kehoe, of whom has given me his permission to allow this work to be submitted. The conflicting lives of two very different characters. This was written to test my ability to properly describe dream-state horror and keep it (narrowly) in the realm of reality.
Okay, so it's been a while. Started back up at school after a 5 year break, and suddenly was short on time. Plus I got to a turning point in the story and had to figure out where it was going next. Here's the beginning of the solution. Hope you enjoy it! Point the second: Since I am (notoriously) terrilble at frequent updates, and I can completely understand people giving up in despair and not checking in periodically, I'm forming a list of those who want updates. If you would like to be added to this list, e-mail me- there's a button off to the right to do that. Put something about elfwood in the subject line so I don't delete it out of hand, and let me know exactly what you want to know about (eg all updates, Dreamers updates, whatever.) Feel free to say anything else too, of course, feedback is fun. And now, back to the story...
This is about a journey dream...a spirit dream if you will. It is a unique form of poetry in which two poems are in one and are typically read by two readers simultaneously making for an intriguing, unusual listening experience.
This poem was written after reading this poem: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/a/i/ainacatrine/faeries.txt.html?_=1094913596 I loved the line about dancing to the tune of the blue bells, I thought it was really sweet and innocent, and so with the authors kind permission, I wrote my own poem. Sadly the whole line doesnt fit with the rhythem of the poem, so I had to cut it down, but I still think it sounds really nice :)
This poem was inspired by a... well, I won't say what it is, read the poem and figure it out for yourself. :)
this was part of my english coursework, but i decided i didn't like it, so I changed it to something different. I suppose these are nice enough as they are, though I'm not too fond of them anymore really.
Leila finds that not everything is always the way it seems, ritual or not, and Joran is rushed into things which doesn;t relly suit him very well.. Finally Tara wonders how grown-ups (in her eyes) can be so wierd and confusing as she seemt to oversee the whole situation from her little girls point of view...
