Read the Prologue and chapter one first, if you already have, then here's the next thrilling installment! ;)
Okay, backstory goes that, basically, Leman conquered Yanimara's homeland, and for rather political reasons forced her into marriage by slaughtering a village for each day she said no. Worked like a charm, no? ;) Incidentally, Leman and Yanimara are the ancestors of Aghamay and Aghanim from my story 'Origins of the Kingdom'.
The Grand Finale, the Great Climax: After the terrible disaster has struck, and all his plans have shown their ultimate consequences, Murkha makes a final gambit to save himself, his world and his companion. But will the desperate plans of a single over-proud magician be enough to stop the incarnation of the Nameless? And even worse: What will happen if he should succeed? EDIT: I have been informed that the small line included in a magical formula needs to be translated. It's in Sylvan (self-made lingo), and reads roughly like this: 'We give pattern to they who have no pattern. I dance sorcery on them and upon their life' More or less. For more info on Sylvan, don't hesitate to ask.
With Bacht and the Saints of Battle destroyed, the Herald takes command of the Sacred Campaign and leads it deep into the heart of the Ahnnish Empire, burning as he goes.
This is a short excerpt of my first book. It is the initial chapter for the three main storylines of the tale, and follows their paths as they begin to set out on the adventure locked inside the pages of a story. I have completed the full text, all 22 chapters, and I am seeking to get this published. The story itself is a slight shift from the typical fantasy fare, as events are taking place in the relatively young planet, in just its second age. This is the time of great adventures and powers that set the stage for the legends and mythos of the ages that will come behind it. I do intend to write for this place all the way through the end of the planet so look forward to seeing this world grow and the pains it will endure on that path.
The ominous and shady Emperor sits in a stolen throne, and a mysteroius man has brought news to him of a prophacy. Mean while, the Plague Master is ordered to start a new war that will cover The Land
Yikes! 'Tis a foul wind in the air, by god... What does this mean for our comrades yonder? We must read to find out--after all, without the breeze, how would drama ensue? What is this about. Hmm... well I haven't written anything for such a long time, that I was reading fan fiction on a gaming site, and there wasn't a lot, so I thought well I'll put that to rights and wrote four. Three of which are up, and the fourth in the process of being published. However, this drove me to update my elfwood site. And as I have all the time in the world to do so now, what better chance does one get? So it's about a client who is a bit fussy.
The first chapter of Dying Empire. Read the prologue first, if you haven't already.
The latest installment of Dying Empire. I'm always working on the next chapter, so expect more soon! And don't forget to leave comments!
This is a longer story, still in growing. This is Chapter 1; in which people mostly meet.
I am enjoying writing this..I hope you enjoy it as well....
This was the first story I posted on Elfwood, and it's now defunct. I intended it to be a story where the Roman empire never fell, but now, its basically without a plot. So here it is. However, if you have aplot that can improve on this story, e-mail me ! I'll be gald to here it, and I'll see what I can do.
This is a very short story, even for me, but the idea needed no more words than given to express itself.
The story plot's exposition * Thank you for reading this far - Orginally I had meant this to be a real brief summary of the entire story (the type you would find on the back cover of a book), but after I really got into its creation, it became obvious that this would be nothing close to short. In later chapters, I begin to focus on character development rather than plot ramifications (dialouge is even introduced) so therefore it becomes much more interesting and has less of a monotinous tone. Enjoy!*
And here's some of the story from the enemy's point of view. In case you're wondering why I suddenly switched to third person, that's just how I do all the stuff in Technology that isn't actually experience by Dave Tenson. Enjoy and leave some comments pleae.
this is the first chapter following the prologue of my hopefully soon to be novel...all your constructive criticism is muchly appreciated
