At the End of Broken Dreams (i)

Désirée Dippenaar

The drunk is taller and broader than him - and he has a knife. He is asking for money which Gion refuses to give. Only one will survive their chance meeting in the streets of a gypsy village - but Gion's survival brings great consequences with it... My entry for Inkwell Artisans Project 2! On the language: The language I used for the gypsies in this story is actually Rumantsch, the fourth national language of Switzerland. Vowels of gypsy words and all names should be pronounced like in German. ('a' like the u in 'mud', 'e' like in 'egg', 'i' like ee, 'u' like oo) Gion is pronounced 'Jon'. The ptarmigan (chapter 2) is an alpine bird, also known as rock grouse. December 2007: some changes made, chapter 2 is now far longer and there's lots more background detail :D

Wight Chapter Six

James Fett ' Inwood

My best ever chapter yet! A lot happens in this one: new characters are introduced, more insight into the wights personality and a few more mysteries.

Gypsies

Brianna (Bree) Lawcock

Just something that popped into my head from listening to Ombra from Cirque Du Soliel while trying to get over a writers block. Know when you have that picture in your head that you have to get out? These might be vampires for future stories

The Dragon Knight Chronicles "Growing Pains" 1A

Allison Miller

This is the new beginning to my long worked on Dragon Knight Chronicles. I'm going to leave my Dragon Knight Chronicles Vol. 1 up (even though, since my story changed, it may not connect completely with how the story is going to go) simply because I really like it and I feel it can stand on its own in some light. Anyways, this first part tells about Bethel's childhood. I hope you really like it and PLEASE don't hesitate to leave a comment!

Geralt and the Gypsies

Heidi Hecht

I have Linday 'Disney Quotes' Verde and the Inkwell Artisans to thank for this. This is set a few weeks after 'Hearts of Space.' Geralt and his new Veroshi friend, Ruyana, go on a day-trip to the Gypsy fair.

The Dancer

Emily Kirsch

If you've ever read The Red Boots ( I think that's what it's called ) this tale might seem familiar. It draws a bit from that but it was more or less inspired by Anouk Morgan's picture... which is included at the bottom of the story (link provided!)

Irish Skies

Caroline Nash

This is a piece inspired by the rolling green hills seen in many childrens fairy tale books..the banshie stays far from me when my flute I play.

Wanderer's Memoirs

Kevin Morris

This was just a little character study I wrote while getting ready for a D&D game a couple of years back. It wasn't meant as a backstory, but rather a way of getting me into Tylis' voice.

Birdbrain

Kathleen McCarthy

Gypsies and thieves and birds, oh my!

The Writers Craft

Hannah Smith

My first of many Roma stories. I have always had a fascination with gypsies, and though Naiya may be evil, this is certainly not my outlook on gypsies.

Shadows of Karath-Sel ~Chapter One~

Ly Frick

Ashenoko Darcsha was a peculiar girl wanting nothing more than to be left alone. Running from a hateful family, she found herself among vagabonds, fighting for her place in the world and struggling to control her untrained Art. Vekar of Karath-Sel was the youngest son of the King's First Wife. Ignored by his father and sneered at by his half-siblings, Vekar became a solitary man with a gift for sword-play. Brought together by dire circumstances, can these two misfits save their kingdom alone or is their world doomed to fall into shadow for eternity?

Destiny

Emily Bisset

This is a fairly new story and I haven't quite decided on the name yet. Basically, there are 6 different characters that come from all corners of their world; Iadae and each are brought together by fate and must unite in order to survive. I'm not quite sure of the story line exactly yet but if you have any ideas of where it should go that'd help. =) Note: No offense is meant to be taken to anyone related to Gypsies (Romani's etc) it's none of it true! Yeah, so don't go off at me for using the stereotypical gypsy image because they're in Iadae, not.. here..
