Shining Full Clear

Brien Miller

This is the submission version of Chapter 1 of Shining Full Clear. Thanks to many Elfwood readers who commented on the earlier version. This rewrite reflects many of your comments. The proposed cover is on display in Tracy Butler's art section here at Elfwood. Shining Full Clear is a serious anthropomorphic fantasy about a man who finds himself magically transported to a world populated by people in animal forms. With little more than his sword and the armor he has been given, he finds himself cast into the world as knight of the horse peoples unware of the destiny intended for him and the trials of body and mind that await. But dire events are already in motion and the fate of this worlds peoples now lie in the hands of a bewildered stranger.

Lleoden

Amory Koch

One day this elf grabbed my head and demanded I write his story. A humourous tale of his trials and abandonment. UPDATE: new ending. I like it much better, got rid of my middle school cuteness to finish the story as it deserves.

A Gambler's Story.

Jess Hickman

He came to town one day, looking for a few good card games and a place to spend a week or so. What he got was far different.

Inspired by a Roald Dahl quote and by my desire to get away lol.

The Apocalypse Stableboy

Being rather fond of horses, I have always been interested in the horses of the Four Horsmen of the Apocalypse. OK, I'm weird - so what? :) Anyway, read it, and tell me what you think.

A True Heroine

This story seemed to flow from my mind, as if it were writing itself. This one introduces one of the most feared creatures in my world (i won't spoil what it is) =]

Here's the rough draft for a story I scribbled a little while ago in my spare time. Swords, sorcery, and would-be heros. (and horses!)

To Sweet Dreamers (poem)

MizShelbyK

I've always been fascinated by the fabric of the evening sky and all the astral bodies that guard us when we sleep. Thus inspired, I wrote this poem in 1996. Looking at it now, I can say I don't really like this one very much. It's just too 'sweet' I suppose. Until I come up with a better one, I'll leave it here for everyone to read.

A New Life1

Teresa Dreisbach

Life can change in the blink of an eye. Guns and violence seem over powering to society these days. But what if love and magic could change it all for the better? A woman has her world torn apart and then pieces it back together with the friendship of the past.
