This story introduces a new set of characters from a coastal village in a country to the far west of Lauralia. I call it my Louisa May Alcott story, because it's written very much in a 19th century style. Part two is in my Other Works section. (Don't ask me why this one qualifies as fantasy and part two doesn't...)
'A short abstract reflecting a political view mixed with fantasy.' - Description by Elfwood Writer, and close friend of mine, Carla K. Anderson (no relation).
This was inspired partly by the movie "Gamer", partly by my frustration one night at msn's inefficiency to convey sarcasm. This is a future world where everything is according to logic and reason and numbers, a tainted shadow of 'real' life. I made fun of quite a lot, and had so much fun writing it ! ! !Enjoy :)
This is just a short story I wrote and thought I would upload it. I wrote it for English and my teacher really liked it so I thought I would put it on here and see what other people think.
Yikes! 'Tis a foul wind in the air, by god... What does this mean for our comrades yonder? We must read to find out--after all, without the breeze, how would drama ensue? I finally decided to write something kind of cryptic - you could take this at face value, but there's a hidden understanding placed underneath this story. It's helpful if you know the story of King Minos (NOT Midas, the guy who turned things to gold. Minos is different). I enjoyed writing this, even though it only took a few minutes. I think it's a unique look into an old story. Roles reversed? The unfortunate...thing...left alone with only his own thoughts to keep him company. A single voice that hearkens to him; the only words to ever fill his ears reveal a bewildering truth. Do you know what he is?
In the third chapter, Raum gets to know the pirates he's gotten himself caught up with, learns of his duties, and starts getting some information on this mysterious treasure that they're seeking. He's not exactly the best team player, but in this situation, he doesn't really have a choice.
This was a story that came to me during exam time for college.okay I was dead tired, feeling really relaxed and soft and kinda dreamy in a coldish arts block on my laptop.thats the mood i was in for this and i hope you can see where its coming from.also i was listening to my immortal by evanescance and hold me by anne while writting so there you go (: enjoy
This Castle Eld story seems to jump around a lot, doesn't it? We've seen three different cities already. Well, here's a bit more for you. One of these days I'll draw up a map for the Castle Eld series. I'll also think up a better name for it.
A visit to the Cathedral, stronghold of the Order, and a meeting with its supernatural master, the mysterious First Counsellor Edgar Havelock.
The beginning. Everything must have a beginning. Especially if it is to end. Thus we start with Eyris Gildon and all the dreams, woes, and thoughts that drive him to leave home and join the National Army. Voluntarily? In pending conflict with the country of the East? Yes and yes. And just what's this about the promise of dragons on the shore? Perhaps his new aquaintances can provide some answers...Welcome to New Athens and beyond--it's about to get bumpy from here on out. We've crossed over from Sena's amber fields into Greyhawk's frigid shores. Now what? Eyris has yet to see a dragon, and there's many more people to meet--fellow cadets and emblems of the prefecture.
