A poem about.. Just read the dang thing!

On the Front Lines of Heaven

Krissy Marie' Jones

This is a poem dedicated to the memory of Dan Wink, a very close friend of my family. In many ways, he was a second father to me. He and I coached together in basketball and volleyball. He taught me so much about life and faith and courage. This is for him.

The Carpenter and his son

Charles Lazaroo

This is my first attempt at a religous story.Although I am Roman Catholic, I will not divulge what this story is a about. You will have to see for yourself. By the way, this is one of only two stories that are complete, and need not be rewritten.

Truestar's Fire - Shadow of Death : Chapter 1 - The Feast

Ryan Stringer

'The room’s design was a work of dark genius, put together by a man who had spent many long years studying the subtle arts of persuasion, manipulation and coercion. The great hall had been the culmination of all Vasper’s art and skill and served its intended purpose ruthlessly and efficiently.'

Truestar's Fire - Shadow of Death : Chapter 2 - Long Live the Thane!

Ryan Stringer

' “What was it you said before? That I should bow to my master? It is long since time that you were educated about the true gravity of the position you now find yourself in.” Vasper said, half whispering and half hissing in Bey’s ear. “I will show you who the real master is.” '

One Stepped Down

Brian Armitage

This was another decent poem among those I submitted to my English teacher. It is based on 'One Angel' by Ann Snodgrass (my assignment was to find and existing poem and try to duplicate the style). So, without plagiarizing, I have created something that is hopefully fairly nifty.

Rekees finds himself in a strange dream of a land once called Earth. Is this just a dream, or a prophecy of what is to come.

Truestar's Fire - Shadow of Death : Chapter 3 - Fertile Soil

Ryan Stringer

' “Someday,” spoke the master, all aglow with the dark and mysterious energy, “when your power has come into its ultimate completion, you shall become the mighty star around whom the fates of all the great and small in Serapis, Unver and Giliathor beyond, shall orbit. When that day comes you will have only to reach out your hand to the dalgo board and move the pieces where you will. In that moment, you could challenge the gods themselves.' '

Of Weeping and the Gnashing of Teeth (Christmas Story)

Ryan Stringer

This is a story I wrote along the theme of 'The Birth of Jesus'. I decided to write it from a, shall we say, unorthodox perspective.

Truestar's Fire : Shadow of Death : Chapter 6 - Blood Relations

Ryan Stringer

The crowd collectively shuddered at the implications of Vizina’s questions. Had she, in fact, deserved what Vasper had done to her? “No,” Bey answered, “not when she was under the orders of the King!”

Truestar's Fire - Shadow of Death : Chapter 4 - Dark Places

Ryan Stringer

'Oh, how he hated them, and how that hatred gave rise to darker things within. He had quenched their thirst with the blood seeping from his many wounds to form sticky pools on the dirty floor below, fed their hunger with flesh stripped from his ravaged body by devilish scourges woven with the jagged shards of his own broken bones.'

The Great Tribulation

This story is fiction, not scripture, nor do I intend to add to or take away from scripture.  Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."  But I did quote scripture in it. It used to be shorter, and contain very few Bible verses, but I added to it so that people that don't know Bible prophecy very well would have a better idea of what I was talking about. I decided to write about a Jew because the Jews are the people most talked about in Bible prophecy. Besides, Jesus was a Jew. And that of course means that the Nazi's were fools.

The History Channel is the closet thing I ever get to church. (Note: This isn't to say that these are my religious views. This isn't to be taken seriously.)

What if Jesus Ate a Cheeseburger?

Lindsay Florence Morrison

Alright, well, my story about my motivation in writing this is not near as interesting as some of the comments I've gotten, so I'll just leave you with this: I know very little about Christianity, so I'm sorry about any inconsistancies, AND I'd like to think that I'm laughing with Jesus, not at him.

Genesis Vault: at Center City (part 2)

Ashley Wynn

Updated 12-08-05 Well, I have been writing. Not nearly as much as I'd like, but I have been putting out a minimal effort. More of my post-apocalyptic adventure. This piece is a bit long, and fairly unorganized. As always there are some formatting issues, and hopefully they'll get fixed soon.
