A new character, I think I almost like him better than Kelnay, we'll see though.
A young elven woman dances a dance of life and death, struggle and harmony, growth and renewal, beneath the waxing and waning moon. (I'm proud to add that I wrote this sucker in 15 minutes in the car on the way home from summer school. Go me!)
Em and the Ex; Em deals with Shade and she and Pip girltalk over knives.
If you have a weak stomach or recently ate something, I advise you not read this. The idea of this came to my mind while I was swinging in the dark above snow-covered ground one night.9th
I had always wanted to write an epic type poem that would remind people of sorrow filled bardic tales. This is what I came up with.
It's all about assasins and princesses and knives. Sounds like fun, eh? Then go ahead!
This is a little pilot story, I decided to write it because it sounded cool... I'm gonna work on it more later.
This is the first fight scene I ever wrote. I had a lot of fun with it. I don't mention it, but Luadre is actually an elf. I will probably mix these two characters in with the larger story I am trying to write.
Here you go! I know some have been waiting for this one for a while. This is just a coninuation of Part one. Enjoy and comment please!
Heh. I've been a slacker updating. But as I know have what I've written edited to my satisfaction, I'm going to try for more regular updates. This is two perspectives, making it a little longer. Curses replaced with exclamation marks. Yes, I know, swearing bad... but look at their situation! Letting a bad word or two slip is only natural....
Asalria is in the midst of a plot to over throw her ruler, but plans are disrupted by some of the Lord's henchmen
I've been bugged by phrases like 'the shadows weep' and other shadowy type things. In fact, shadows manage to work their way into a lot of my poems. The shadows here serve to illustrate how terribly wrong this place is, because (for me at least) shadows don't feel any emotion, except for maybe hate. So wherever this place is... it's not a nice place. But... you didn't need the shadows to tell you that. 1-11-02
This was written for two things--first and foremost, as a present to all my friends online, since I was going to be nicking off to England for four months. Didn't end up finishing it quite~ in time, but I finished it while I was there, so that was okay. Secondly, it's an introduction to my favourite bois (and one girl), the King's Own. They're the group of the fifteen best warriors in Raykin, consisting of seven swordsmen, four archers, two archers and two pikemen. This is one of their missions, told from he day they leave Ni-Yana to the day they get back. Specifically, it's the most recent mission, from the end of the Summer before Silent Harmony properly begins, and Nimay's first as General. Beyond that, the boys pretty much explain it all. Part one is just basic introductions to the boys, as done by Prince Nolryn, and the mission brief, written by their General, Nimay. I love my girl *^^* Enjoy!
Continuing with the Own fic, this is the long~ and not-as-boring-as-they-make-it-out-to-be journey from Ni-Yana to the Kazinian border. Here's a map that'll come in handy for you. No, the little tinpot towns aren't marked, because to be perfectly honest they don't matter =D; Sorry Ulkar X3 Also~ Nyan rana yn ___, di nyan yn Maralu is Raykinian for 'My name is ___, and I'm a rider for the King's Own.'
The novel follows a rather troubled young lady, Railen, an ex-mercenary empath (which would be enough to screw most people up), who has endured a great deal of horrible things to the point where she decided to reject human society completely, for its own good. However, at this point one of the Vristae (a canid-type race, somewhat along the lines of Siberian Huskies but bigger, gifted with psionic powers), chooses her to be a part of the Vristaindrae (a group of Vristae and humans dedicated to keeping law, order, peace, justice, and all that jazz within whatever country they are stationed in). She's not exactly thrilled, but he talks her into it. Chapter one begins with Railen entering the city in the company of her Vriste Strael.
I can't tell you much about this because I don't want to ruin the story. Rydan is the mage Kyrr's apprentice. The country, Minorith is currently falling into corruption (by and of who I won't say) and the people are rebelling. This starts out the night the people have had enough. A random excerpt from a story I am writing. A preview if you would. It's from near the beginning, and doesn't give too much away. Of what I've written this is one of my favorite scenes, and I'd love a critique on it. More of it can be found here. Just scroll down a tiny bit until you get to Rydan's Story.
A story told of a great warrior, a dragon of his time. Unbeaten in combat as he defends a weapon of great power. Then, along comes a spider...
Raven is one of the only people who has survived through World War III... Or so she thinks. These journals of hers take the reader to this new world of Raven's as she battles her way through the days, each day returning with something more to put in her journal. The more comments I get the more I will write. So feel free to leave a comment and invite others to read it as well.
Didn't realize how much had happened in this chapter until I was talking about it with a friend and was talking about this character and that character and realizing she had no idea who I was talking about.... So- many new characters and much plot. Suprising me with the intricacies, really, though a lot of it is realization of future woes, nothing in this chapter... I control my characters, really. Many fights, back to the humans, knife obsession, more death, robbery, flight or fight! Gatter and Zara... will they ever meet?
