If you've read my other stories, then you have probably discovered that portraying evil characters is one of my weaknesses. Take Jolanda, for example: she may seem evil, but deep down, she really does have a loving heart. Even Cow-cow, my evil-est character yet, pretends to be good for a while. So when I was faced with writing about this truly evil person, I could not see how I could write a Bad Guy without making them seem too comical or painfully overdone. Eventually, I did come up with a solution – but as I reread it, it seems like a stupid idea. Anyway, I would love to hear your opinion on this matter, or really, any other matter concerning this story, because any comments are good!
Thirain is an old character of mine, central in my novel series. He is one of the villain's generals, although he frequently travels around the world without anyone knowing who he is. He is thousands of years old, one of the most powerful magicians in the world, and tend to be underrated. As you will see. This is just a small story I put together one day, it's not my best, but not my worst. Written quite a while ago, but I've never uploaded it before now. I hope it's correctly categorized - the novel series is high fantasy, so I tend to think of everything concerning it as that...
before I went to meet a close friend of mine...I often pictured this scene...it ran through my head continuously(sp?)...I feared that I'd be left with no closure when I saw him, you see...so this is how I worked things out in my mind before I left... The actual goodbye was nothing as dramatic as this...nor was the visit itself...but that's another story.
Enter Franz Mohellian, businessman extraordinaire. In this chapter he meets the mysterious Fay von Nebel, an ambitious young reporter who knows more than she should...
This is the best of the stright high fantasy that I've ever written. There are alot of artists out there who have drawn Johnny D for me. Perhaps someday I'll get around to building a tour for it (if there is a demand).
This is a poem I wrote when still at college; slightly awkward but still pleasant enough for me to include. I was imagining what would happen if someone stumbled across a very large dragon when wandering in a forest... and, as often happened at the time, it fell into a rythm and then a poem.
The Queen has held a mysterious meeting, what will become of the kingdom?
A short story I have finally finished, of about 18 pages. Originally a request by Lord Cobalt, a dragon on IRC, to show how he and my character, Kaz, met. Not actually carried out in roleplay, just sort of brainstormed between the two of us. Obligatory disclaimer: I'll say it now. Kaz is my main character used in roleplay, and others might find themselves mentioned or appearing. Yes, her short usename is Kaz. Yes, there is a series of Dragonlance books by Richard Knaak that features a minotaur named Kaz. Yes, I own them all. But! I did not steal the character! *grins* I happen to think highly of the author, and the race and world and culture he created. My Kaz, full name Kazanthi de-Arluun, is named in honor of both writer and his character, Kaziganthi de-Orilg. There's a lot they have in common, but my minotaur is not from Krynn, and her world, clan, past, and history are unique to myself.
This is a relatively old story telling the story of how Diana, Dorland and Spudge met the gypsy Droof. I am now in the process of changing the story since now I have decided that Droof and Spudge knew each other before hand and met the other two together. Oh, and yea, Droof is not a gypsy name, and it is not his real name either. It's a nickname, just like Dorland's name and Spudge's. Droof's real name is Drayven.
Part one, of a three part story. Zith has torrid dreams of her birthplace. She is woken by a strange howling and decides to investigate. She meets with Syra and agrees to take on a daring assassination. Note from the writer - please go easy on my punctuation I know it's not perfect. All comments welcome - I will endeavour to reply. Please note that this story was originally posted in its' entirety. However, I have now broken it down into three parts to make it easier to read.
A sort of sci-fi story about a meeting set in a place with technology enough to harbour tractors but not enough to be environmentally aware.
so far people seem to like it, this is just the start. if you have a better suggestion for the title, lemme know! comments and suggestions are VERY welcome!
Yikes! 'Tis a foul wind in the air, by god... What does this mean for our comrades yonder? We must read to find out--after all, without the breeze, how would drama ensue? This is the sixth chapter of my story. Like always I would love to hear all of your comments and criticism as well as any title ideas you may have. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with how this chapter turned out but I want to hear what everybody else thinks. If you see any mistakes in spelling, grammar or even just the story in general, please let me know. Thanks for reading, enjoy!
This is part two of 'The First Meeting' This chapter is about the three (Calle,Fedler and Sea'lla) and them meeting a Satyr.
This is the prologue to a man. a young boy, who was destined to meet the gods. The gods he failed to believe in, and soon he has no choice, but to be one of them. One of the ancient creatures of the night, a Vampire.
Here is the fifth part of my novel. This was an interesting chapter to write as it wasn't in my original rough draft. I changed the circumstances at the end of my fourth chapter to make room for this scenario. As such though, what you see is my partially edited rough draft, so it's likely to have more mistakes then my other chapters. We now join Corean after she has departed from the Elves and is making her way to the city of Seville.
In this part of the story, you are introduced to the main character and her family. You are also given hints of the world she lives in and what her magical powers may be. Comments and Critiques highly encouraged- an ongoing project... will take a while to finish but I need all the help I can get :D
