This is the sad story of a merchant in the grips of a crisis, life is crashing in upon him on all sides, and he can find no happiness. Only through outside intervention can he see the joy in life. A must read.

John Jr.

Merchants rarely see the harsher aspects of the realms, prefering the plush life of the upper class. Yet occassionally fate twists one wishes.

Empire: Chapter I: Times of Change

Siegfried Baumann

Now, I know this looks very long, but even if you don't read the entire thing, I'd appreciate some comments. This the first chapter of a new idea I've had for a novel, and I'd really like to know what people think. I've got put up a hasty map, but it still incomplete in some places. So please leave some comments and tell me where to imrove. The idea for the story is basically like a medieval version of the Cold War, where two huge empires are engaged in a struggle for world domination, but both fear what will happen if they ever come to open war. So their battles are fought with pawns and innocents are caught in between.

The Lady's Sons are Sailors

Anita King

A song about the three sons of TiSha Einna Dranen, the 'mad sister' of Shen Andeir. But everyone knows it was her sons, all sailors, who drove her over the edge. This is a somewhat humorous song about them, and how they would never settle down to their mother's satisfaction.

It's a part of the first encounter between Astrids and a sorceress. It's actually just a small part of a longer story, but this is the one which turned out best without me having to edit too much.

The Variable Sons

Mathais A'Court

This is brand new, infact so far no one has read this except my girlfriend! I just finished it, and now I give it to Elfwood, so make all the comments you like. Personally, I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out. Also, it's called Edge for now, being that he's the main character in it, but I'm looking for a better title. Any ideas?

Mischa Pringle

This story was done for an English assignment, but I figured I could use the assignment as an excuse to write a background for a future Earthdawn character. The story is no longer set in Barsaive or has anything to do with Earthdawn (Wyvern Rules)

I originally wrote this story in the modern time but adapted it for Elfwood. I’m not overly impressed with the adapted story but since the original wasn't accepted I will stick with this one. Can you see the original? Of course you can. Just follow the link. Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome.
