This has nothing to do with the rpg nightlife(which is a great game, by the way). It's another not-so-cyber - punk story. What i've been doing alot recently is work on the story elements of cyberpunk. Yeah, hardware is important. In my humble oppionion one of the biggest mistakes cyberpunk authers make is being too dependent on hardware and not enought on wetwear. Cyberpunk is a state of mind, not a state of body. If it was a state of body then comic book cyborgs would be cyberpunk. Having metal in your frame has nothing to do with riding the edge of the dark future. There are plenty of cyberpunks in popular media who dont have a single implant but who are way more part of the genre than your run of the mill cyberninja. Check out the character Leon in 'The Professional' if you dont beleave me.
A few important notes about this part: 'Tempson shield' is a made up term inspired by real-life Faraday shields, which are too complicated to explain, Google it if you really wanna know. As there doesn't seem to be an 'official' term for a group of dragons (there are all sorts of variations), I, THE ANGLER HAVE DECREED that in all stories hereafter (all of mine, anyway) they shall be known as 'a scream of dragons'. Hell yeah. ^^ Also, I had to answer the mystery of the mist, for purposes of not having an ending that sucked (although that still remains to be seen...) Sooorry! It was unavoidable! Don't hurt me, Panu!! *runs away*
The third part. I should probably make a clarification- Slag controls metal, and metal includes all elemental earth(stone, dirt, etc).
Overpopulation has caused China to go on an expansion offensive, sparking World War 3... with MeTIS (Mechanized Tactical Infantry Suits)!!!
A once peaceful planet ruled by an evil spiritual force, a slave race wants their freedom and there is only one way to take back the planet that was rightfully theirs...to follow one man on his quest to become one with a secret flame that burns within his very soul and gives him the power to fight the darkness! (Very sci-fi :-))
China Mieville inspired, as well as wondering just how far the manipulation of living creatures can be taken. I also wondered how humanity would behave in a world full of magic.
She came to a crossroads. Which road to take? Written in about one hour. Simple, short, and doesn't do much outside of its story. Tada - you may not like it. I know I don't. Feel free to figure out the meaning - I don't know what it is, exactly. As usual, please leave one piece of constructive criticism with any comments you may have.
If you have a weak stomach or recently ate something, I advise you not read this. The idea of this came to my mind while I was swinging in the dark above snow-covered ground one night.9th
What happens after the thing most precious to Willow is stolen from her infront of her very eyes? Find out and see!
A poem about a bladesmith who is going through 'artist's block'. He finds inspiration, and makes a sword fit to slay a dragon.
Here is the fourth issue in this little story. The mission is continued. A little bit of action in this one. This is where I'm starting to implement some of the tech that I've always wanted in this series from the time of Galaxy Apart. This is working towards accomplishing the feeling I want but still its hard to do I think a series of pictures would better express the story, maybe even a comic. Too bad I'm not the best at drawing people. Enjoy.
Second part of my killer vampire story..tow more to go..can u feel the suspence..oh, and a mirk is someone who is the epitomy of an image..ish..just read it! and comment on it!
This is the shortest story I've written in the past 3 years. I wrote it for the Reflections contest--it got honorable mention--and I decided that it fit with Elfwood's theme. So here it is.
All righty, so they finally meet up and have their appropriately vague and creepy instructions. I know it's been a while, but hopefully everyone remembers what's been going on.
The second part, as promised. In case you're wondering, the elements are light, dark (part I), wind, water (part II), fire, metal (part III),plant, animal (part IV), life, death (TBA).
It's a part of the first encounter between Astrids and a sorceress. It's actually just a small part of a longer story, but this is the one which turned out best without me having to edit too much.
This is the fifth in a series of poems following the adventures of a Paladin named Tirania through a surreal and troubled world, corrupted by cursed songs. After finding her way out of the Woods of Prominence, Tirania find herself in a land frozen in time; everything is coated in metal; everything is waiting for everything, but nothing will come.
