The Seven 6

Kathryn Gromowski

Who wants a character list? It's 114 names, but probably only about...75 are in the story right now. If I get enough people asking for it, I'll pop it up on my website somewhere, with a complimentary link. Anywho, this is just more travelling fun and whatnot. Some interesting stuff, but most of it's just giving me something to do next chapter. Lots of building in this chapter, not a whole lot of intense stuff, but you do get the chance to meet Epperron and Sur'da'dun. Aracil and Palua are coming...soon, I hope, and Hasharia...well, that you have to wait for until book (yes, BOOK) 5. Wish me luck! Uploaded: 12/11/05

Death's Dreamer

Lisa Kitty' Bargielski

This is actually one of my newer works, compared to what I will be posting here once I find it! It's about a woman named Carmylla, who is having recurring dreams about a strange man. Carm is one of my FAVORITE characters, so hopefully I'll get more about her written soon.

Ice Heart

Becca Lusher

In the aftermath of the events of Blitzkrieg NawaquĂ struggles with the alien concepts of love and guilt. Like everything else though, he is determined to over come it. Some might say his methods are extreme - he simply does what's necessary. Yet not everything is that straight forward... is it, Zao? Final installment of Alyssa's stories, because this has to be yours, but not everything in this setting ^_^ I'd be writing you stories forever else.

Chapter Seven

Anika Ueckermann

In which we realise its not a good idea to sail during a storm

Alayzs and Exahnin

Katie Hallahan

A short beginning that just showed up in my head. I like it, so hopefully this will develop into something more over time. Alayzs is pronounced 'A-laze,' Exahnin is pronounced exactly how it looks.

The Storm

K. Johnson

This is the second of my narratives for English(sophomore year). This one is supposed to show a character's rite of passage. The story itself is only remotely fantasy, but it takes place in a definitely fantasy setting. Again, I'm only half sure I did the HTML right...

The Dryad

Laura Goude

Just a short poem I came up with one rainy Sunday afternoon...

The Dance, the Dragon, and Me

Danielle Hulsopple

A short story of a girl who becomes the host of an ancient dragon spirit

Storm Bound ch 3

Jake Thomas

Chapter 3. The hunters find a near-empty trappers cabin. Mission accomplished they prepare to return home.

Stormbound ch2

Jake Thomas

The hunters catch up to their quarry...

What's Your Lucky Number? Six? You Lose! (5)

Cly Novak

This is the 5 chapter. I think Maxx talks the most in this one than in any other chapter so far. And please remember... this is a little cat doing all this damage. Never thought a cat could do anything more than scratch when faced with a bath...

The Horde of The Spider God

David Southam

This is a sample of my planned third novel, The Dark Alliance, from my first fantasy saga. The Wrathstone Saga is to be the first of three trilogies, chronicling the recent history of my fantasy world, Lahn. The Wrathstone saga tells the story of a young man named Rick, an orphan from the quiet town of Povelstone, who, after finding an ancient evil artifact called the Chaos Medallion, finds himself pulled into a tale of wizards, dragons and all things nerdy. Rick finds out, much to his dismay, that he is in fact the 'Godgift', prophecised by the Gods themselves to become a mighty wizard called Al Caiatar, the Etherlord, the only one who can stop the coming of the God of Chaos, Nahgaroth, and of course, save the world of Lahn. In this excerpt, he and his loyal companions have found themselves under attack by a swarm of Enrath, akin to giant spiders, but altogether nastier. Enjoy! Note: The term 'Shimzera Muros! Shimzera Raiadar! Halla ken far indigar Al Caiatar!' does not have an exact meaning, and cannot be translated into modern speech. They are simply fictional 'words of power', used by wizards to invoke magic.

Dragon Mountain

Michelle Morrison (May)

This poem was for a Spenserian sonnet contest on Absynthe Muse, a site for young writers looking for help/criticism/other writers their age.

Seeker

Shannon Pardy

A story I wrote when I was 15. Kinda sparse, but even then I liked to write. A story about a ghost, and love.

Pearls of the Sea

Mo Demich

One of my first finished short stories. About mermaids and fishermen, I guess. It's kind of old, so it's not really a representation of my best work at all, but I'm keeping it up for old time's sake. 3 pages. Finished.

Just Another Rainy Day

Stephanie Covington

Ever wonder what college girls do when they're bored? Me personally, I write, but I imagine some of them do this instead.

Song of the Night---Beginning

Meredith Temple

Take care what you create, and how you treat it, for one day it may turn on you. . . I've changed the title, because I've decided that for now, this won't be one long story, but a set of interlinked short ones.

Born of Fire, Born of Earth

Bart Jong

I mean this to be the introduction to a longer story about dragons and heroes. The title is a working title and may change.

Dawn of Twilight

Joshua Price

I wrote this on 9/19/2006. It was rather a spur of the moment piece, but it turned out very well. This story depicts my former persona, who slowly became his own character, just like Zeradar Kerrinor, Varus Dragonfire, and Isaac Tigerheart before him. While you do not need to, reading The Beginning of the End before this may clear some questions. Though for those of you who did, yes both pieces don't agree on some parts, and thats purposeful. On some other notes, this is my first story in a very long time without any combat. Its also was the shortest piece I had written for quite awhile. However, I am highly satisfied with how it turned out, so much in fact that I consider it my best piece that I wrote in 2006. And before you put your mind in a gutter and ask, the love mentioned in the story is like that between a father and a son, or any other pair of family members. UPDATE 1/15/07: Ok, maybe not a major enough update to warrant caps. Basically reduced the white space, corrected some typos, and changed a few words to make things a bit clearer.

Down The Line

Shalane Jarnagin

What happens when a ghost walk get rained out? Well, the show must go on...
