It is their last night together. Counting the hours before her wedding the next day to a cousin she hardly knows, when she'll have to leave Theodore, the human boy she loves. She can only hope that somehow, sometime, they can be together again... but all that hope seems lost. Elves can live thousands of years. By the time her husband dies, it will be too late... I just love making Merina's life hard ;)
Kael Mageborn attends the wedding of a friend, only to find himself pulled into something more siniste
I wrote this for an artist on Elfwood named Hila Gerasy who has a picture of the same title. She wanted someone to write a background to the picture. The pciture is at this address: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/h/i/hila/wedding_night.jpg.html
I wrote this in my LiveJournal in the middle of the night several months ago. I don't really know where it came from, but I've become rather fond of it. It's more like a vignette than a story, but whatever. I prefer vignettes I guess, because they're more in the moment and they don't move from that moment. Anyway, the quote at the beginning is what inspired it... the guy was going to be a samurai specifically in the beginning, but as I realized I didn't really know much about samurais, I decided to stay vague to avoid insulting the samurai tradition with my ignorance.
Ember was so popular that I decided to do another fairy tale rewrite- this time, based on the story of the frog prince. See the resemblance? I know, I know, a lot of people are going to say they want more back story, but since I don't plan on doing more, then I'm just going to apologize in advance for it.
Well, this is the last of all I have written currently and chapter 25 isn't finished. Still no where near the end of the story though.
A poem sung by elves at the altar.... I was recently flattered by a comment on this before the crash; someone actually wanted to use this at their wedding! I've updated this with a few shortened lines, hope it makes it sound better!
1500 years ago, Eve was human. This is the beginning of her story... the beginning of 1500 long years of hunting a man.
Based on a sketch I did in the middle of the night; part dream, part wishful thinking.
The wedding takes place and Della begins to wonder if she's made the right decision.
It occurred to me one day while sitting at the computer that it was always the elder, dark daughter that was nasty in this ballad, no matter which version you heard. Retellings have been written, but not one ever thought the poor girl might have been the innocent one in the case. Bah! Minstrels. (In case you can't tell, I am an elder sister with darker hair...)
A university student tells a strange story in her local bar..
This is the first chapter of a Cinderella adaptation that I thought was pretty ok. Over the summer I worked on quite a few fairy-tale adaptations. Please comment!
Another poem, but this one has been written recently.
In which Amber uses Raw Magic to kill a bunch of assassins. Yay! Exciting things at last!
The continuing story, and on a quick note, yes I know the chapters look messed up, but I just ended up going back through and re-chapterizing (I don't even think that's a word) but since I had more than five sections, the updates on some of the older parts will unfortunatly have to wait. Enjoy!
