She is bound by her own brightly colored troubles, too frightened to move...her garments torn and tattered, and her face smeared with soot and tears... When he comes sailing on wings of diamond white, with golden tips, glowing with vibrant green and yellow, full of life and light. He whispers, 'I'll be here for you...always.' She is, at first, tense and unsure, wary of this new person: threat or comfort? But his sweet face and low voice reassure her that all will be well. I drew this with pencils, and then made a copy of it so the colored pencils would smear the graphite. Yay!! Then I messed with the brightness/contrast in Photoshop...my new friend!
