The afternoon heat had already replaced the temperance of the morning that had allowed a few hours of fighting in the tournament. Now, in the lazy heat there was little more that a person could do than just lay around. Before long, Benendra would make some comment about Errol's beard - and then Jehan would call Benendra 'Barefoot Bill,' which they all agreed was a mortal insult, though no one could say exactly why. Then they'd all get up and wander over to Lord Azir's encampment where they would sing insulting songs until one or all of them had been challenged to a duel. It wasn't the most ambitious of plans, but it was always what happened.
