Fishing for the Moon

Before man came to Midgard, Xan lived alone in the skies. He planted the seeds of planets throughout space, but the sun whithered them in its constant light. He made night, so they would not always be burnt by the heat of the sun, but there were spirits in the darkness that came and ruined his crop. One day, as he sat alone on Midgard, Xan saw a small light, glimmering far away. It was a shield, discarded by the Valor during their great battle, and it lay, dented and worn, at the bottom of the pools of space. The light of the sun shone on it's surface, giving light enough to drive back the spirits, but still cool enough to give the planets rest. Xan quickly got out his fishing pole. (I tried to make it so there was a reflection of the moon in the 'water' without having a moon in the sky, but I'm not sure the perspective is right to make that clear.)
