Sphinx's Eye

Sci fi/Fantasy image by

I cannot sleep, I cannot think, I cannot see, I cannot live, I cannot move for there when I lived... when I lived? When I thought and saw and slept and thought and saw, I saw what I cannot see - what I must not see... for I have lost... lost... I have no memory of it, I have no memory. I know only the eyes, the eyes. I know the eyes. Now I am... I was, I may be... the stone, a thought, a mind... inside stone... there is stone, but what, do I think? Why... I know not, but I know one thing. I know one thing. The eyes. --- Bear with me, I just felt like trying some kind of insane mumbling... ;) Basically this is a photo, altered severly - trying to cast a nightmarish cast to the eyes, meant to portray the sight of the sphinx, as you turn to stone - my idea is that the person lives on, a person doomed to eternal madness within a chamber of stone, forever locked with his gaze upon but one thing, the eyes of the Sphinx.
